Ac-Lys-Gln-Leu-Arg-AFC is the optimal substrate for human Hepsin, because KQLR/VVNG corresponds to its cleavage site. Excitation at 395-400 nm, emission at 495-505 nm. Hepsin is a membrane-anchored serine protease that is overexpressed in ovarian, prostate cancer and renal cell carcinomas, and therefore can be used as a prognostic marker.
