Brevinin-2JD

Brevinin-2JD is an antimicrobial peptide found in Odorrana jingdongensis (Jingdong frog, Rana jingdongensis). It has antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacterium: E.coli, E.coli CIB 84492 (MIC=38 µM) and Gram-positive bacteria: S.aureus, S.aureus CIB 85462 (MIC=19 µM). It has antifungal activity against C.albicans (MIC=19 µM) and has weak hemolytic activity against rabbit erythrocytes. The sequence of Brevinin-2JD is the same as that of Brevinin-2-OA18 and Brevinin-2GRA, but the source is different.
