Caerin 1.11 was produced by Litoria eucnemis. Caerin 1.11 is a cationic amphipathic alpha-helical antimicrobial peptide with weak or no activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is weakly active against E.coli (MIC=25 µM), E.cloacae (MIC=50 µM), K.pneumoniae (MIC=25 µM), and S.haemolyticus (MIC=50 µM).
